Библиотека поддержки дизайна Android — CollapsingToolbarLayout EnterAlwaysCollapsed

Я пытаюсь реализовать CollapsingToolBarLayout, аналогичный представленному в демонстрационном приложении Cheesesquare.
Однако мне нужно, чтобы моя панель инструментов была свернута по умолчанию, когда я вхожу в Activity (таким образом, она не занимает слишком много места в ландшафтном режиме). на телефонах).
Согласно документации, с флагом EnterAlwaysCollapsed это кажется легко выполнимым.
Однако я не получаю желаемого поведения. Вместо этого AppBarLayout сначала кажется полностью расширенным и прокручивается за пределы экрана, оставляя только системную панель.

На самом деле, EnterAlwaysCollapse нацелен только на анимацию появления этого представления. Это отличается от того, что я пытаюсь сделать.
Существует проблема с трекером Google, предлагающая добавить возможность установки начального состояния CollapsingToolBarLayout.

Ну, это может быть поздно, но на всякий случай, если кто-то борется с этим. Библиотека дизайна поддержки v23 поддерживает это. Вы должны добавить app:expanded="false" в свой AppBarLayout в xml.

Так что это должно выглядеть примерно так:
